Where Art and Agriculture meet.

The Gullies, a progressive sheep and beef farm in Rangitīkei, is offering a new farm stay and arts residency by application—The Gullies Arts Residency.

In a largely traditional farming community, the residency aims to bridge the gap between agriculture and the arts and increase local arts engagement. Promoting and demonstrating integrity in farming was important, hand-in-hand with engaging and hosting gallery-represented artists at the residency.

We started by delving into The Gullies' ethos, goals and market, shaping the brand around the idea of "conscious creativity" to resonate across their target audiences.

Upon launch, The Gullies Arts Residency quickly gained attention, with applications from recognised artists and the inaugural residency awarded to celebrated Auckland artist Andrew McCloud.

Since its launch, The Gullies Arts Residency has hosted three gallery-represented artists, launched a pop-up store, and actively supported and been pivotal to local arts events.
