As new customer information rolled out across the Public Transport Victoria network, Melbourne’s metro train line guides needed an update to ensure consistency and clarity.
Unique, feature-rich illustrations—one for each of eleven train line covers—were required to sit alongside journey information supporting clear and seamless navigation.
Distinctive visuals referencing each line’s unique features add interest to daily commutes and visitor journeys — and make each guide uniquely recognisable.
The new cover illustrations work seamlessly with the network-wide wayfinding system, building recognition and supporting confident, intuitive journey decisions.
The new guide covers make it easy to spot and navigate each line at a glance — on a rack, in-hand and across the network — thanks to clear visual cues and intuitive design.
Strategic illustrations added a sense of local pride and bring a little delight to the everyday journey.
